
World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, 17 June

With 40% of the land currently or under threat of degradation, care must be needed to safeguard the land that provides for all of humanity.
The World Day addresses the Sustainable Development Goals 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 13 (Climate Action), and 15 (Life on Land).
Sustainable Gastronomy Day, 18 June

Local food and cuisine should be preserved and cultivated in a manner that does not harm or damage the surrounding environment. This includes the origin of ingredients, how they are gathered, and how it is delivered from one point to another.
The World Day addresses the Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

For 2024, the World Refuge Day is focused on solidarity, to work alongside and support those who need it the most, and finding solutions for their problems, including going back home safely if necessary.
The World Day addresses the Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and is overseen by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

With tropics covering over 40% of the surface and accounting for over 80% of biodiversity, including 95% of all mangroves, ensuring their protection and sustainability is vital. This is even more so for 2050, when they are to support over 2/3 of the world’s children.
The World Day addresses the Sustainable Development Goals 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water) and 15 (Life on Land).
