With over half the world’s population without access to safe toilets or drinking water, we are reminded that sanitation and hygiene are a dignity and right for all. This year’s campaign reminds people that even if they work in small amounts, like a hummingbird these actions all add up.

This World Day follows the Sustainable Development Goals 1 (No Poverty), 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
