99% of commercial tuna is sourced sustainably, but the fear of over fishing it and other types of fish yet remains.
This Day follows the Sustainable Development Goals of 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and 14 (Life Below Water).
International Day of Plant Health, 12 May

98% of all oxygen comes form plants, and it provides 80% of food, yet as much as 40% is lost yearly. Efforts must be made to maintain and safeguard it.
This year’s theme is on plant biosecurity for food security and nutrition.
