Clean air is an essential to healthy living, and it is on the part of governments to work together to combat air pollution, poor air quality, and the disruptions of climate change, no matter the source.
International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, 16 September

A clean atmosphere also includes a preserved ozone layer to protect the planet from the sun. Once badly damaged from man-made chemicals, work over time has helped to recover much of what was lost, but vigilance is still needed to keep it that way.
Both World Days follow the Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 13 (Climate Action), 15 (Life on Land), and 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
